Bi-fold

 

Bi-fold doors are the best alternatives to pocket lift & slide doors if you want to open up a wall to the outside, and do not have the opportunity to pocket doors into the wall. The simply fold like an accordion against the edges of the aperture.

They also offer another advantage to sliding doors which is that you can get a single door usage (say in a 2+1 or 3+1 combination) which is handy if you want a simpler egress and do not want to slide doors just to nip in and out.
